Sleep Mattresses (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs the online store at sleepmattresses.shop (the “Site”), where we sell mattresses, adjustable bases, bed frames, foundations, toppers and bedding. This page sets out what we collect from you, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Using the Site or ordering from us means you accept what is written here.
What we collect. Placing an order tells us your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and telephone number, along with the items you bought. If you write to us or open a return, we also keep that correspondence and any photos you send with it. Card details are typed into our payment provider’s checkout and handled by them; complete card numbers never reach our servers. Separately, your browser passes on technical information — IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and which pages you viewed — which we receive through cookies and similar tools.
Why we hold it. We use your details to take payment, dispatch your order, schedule freight deliveries, answer support messages, administer sleep-trial returns and warranty claims, screen for fraudulent orders, keep tax and accounting records, and — only if you tick the box — email you occasional store updates. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Who else sees it. We do not sell personal information and we do not rent mailing lists. Details are passed to the suppliers who make the store function: our payment provider, the ground and freight carriers who deliver your order, the warehouse that picks it, our email and hosting providers, and our accountants. Each receives only what their part of the job needs. We will also release information where a law, subpoena or regulator requires it, or where it is necessary to defend a legal claim.
Cookies. Cookies keep items in your basket between pages, remember whether you chose the light or dark version of the Site, and tell us which pages are used. Browser settings let you refuse or delete them, but checkout may stop working properly if you do.
Keeping it safe, and how long. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, while acknowledging that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed secure. Order records are kept for as long as tax and warranty obligations require — mattress warranties run ten years, so purchase records are held at least that long. Support correspondence is kept for a shorter period once a matter is closed.
Your choices. Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask for a copy of what we hold, have inaccurate details corrected, have information erased where we have no continuing reason to keep it, or object to marketing. Write to the address below and we will respond inside the period the applicable law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Children. The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly gather information from anyone under 13, and we delete it if we discover we have.
Updates. Where this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the Site.
